仕事や作品撮影以外ではカメラを持って歩かないことから、自分の家族のポートレートを撮ることはありませんでした。
こちらは珍しく祖母をポラロイドで撮影した時のもの。
しかしこれが祖母に会った最後の日となりました。
当時既に認知症が始まっていて、父が会いに行っても僕の名前を呼んでいたそうです。
学生の頃は毎朝おばあちゃんに起こして貰い、本当に可愛がっていただいた。
おばあちゃんの愛を沢山注いで貰いました。
写真って、本当に凄いんです！
写真は何物にも代えられない尊い宝物であり、時間が経過すればするほどその尊さは増していきます。
そしてポートレートには、人に勇気や癒しを与えてくれる力と可能性を持っています。
僕はフォトグラファーとして、こんな素晴らしいものを提供していることに誇りを持っています。

【Family Photo / Grandmother / Polaroid】
I didn't take portraits of my family because I don't carry a camera with me except for work and filming.
This is a rare photo of my grandmother with Polaroid.
But this was the last day I met her grandmother.
Dementia had already begun at that time, and even when her father went to see her, she called my name.
When I was a student, I had my grandmother wake me up every morning and she really loved me.
I received a lot of grandma's love.
Photos are really amazing!
Photographs are precious treasures that cannot be replaced by anything, and as time goes by, their preciousness increases.
And portraits have the power and potential to give people courage and healing.
As a photographer, I'm proud to offer such a wonderful thing.
* When I was writing an article about my grandmother, I ended up with a childish phrase!
